My husband & had a WONDERFUL experience yesterday. One of my music friends is the leader of a big jazz band (www.groovinhigher.com<http://www.groovinhigher.com/>). They are SO awesome! Every 1st & 3rd Saturday from 5 to 7 PM, they play a jazz concert/dinner theater at The Factory, a newly opened club in Tacoma. I love jazz & really wanted to eat there yesterday, so I asked to speak with the kitchen manager, Dan. I explained my situation & emphasized the importance of avoiding cross contamination, etc. & asked if he could accommodate my needs. He said he could so I decided to trust him. I had a chicken breast that was marinated in olive oil & fresh herbs, grilled in a saute pan rather than on the grill, steamed vegetables & a fabulous salad w/ oil & vinegar on the side prepared especially for me. All the ingredients were fresh. It was good food & not too expensive (comparable to prices at Outback). And, best of all, I DIDN'T GET SICK! Whoo hoo! So if any out there are up for the drive, I highly recommend this place. The food's good, the music's even better! We've been twice now & have plans to go back January 6th with some friends.
