This correspondence is in response to your request for information about
ingredients in Taco Bell menu items. You inquired as to which items are
suitable for gluten-restricted diets.

Because wheat is a part of so many of our recipes, many items served in Taco
Bell restaurants are not suitable for gluten-restricted diets. However,
there are a few items you can safely order:

        *       Pintos and Cheese

        *       Bean Tostada

        *       Side Items/Toppings Include:

                        Cheese Sauce                            Sour Cream

                        Guacamole                               Seasoned
Rice

                        Hot or Mild Sauce                       Picante
Sauce

                        Jalapeno Peppers                        Red Sauce

                        Fiesta Salsa                            Cheddar
Cheese

                        Produce Items                           Three Cheese
Blend

                        (Lettuce, Diced Onions, Green Onions, Tomatoes)

We have recently begun frying our nacho chips in the stores. Our nacho
chips DO NOT contain wheat, but the chips are fried in the same fryer in
which wheat-containing items are prepared. Therefore, we have removed nacho
chips as an acceptable item for gluten free diets.
