My oldest daughter who is a celiac ,same as I am ...is moving to Calgary. If anyone from the city has any info on good places for celiacs to know about....bake shops , restaurants etc that are gluten free friendly, I would appreciate being able to pass on the info to her. I have one quick tip for you all....Ikea...yes the store we all like to browse thru..has in the deli section these Almondy torts ..that are gluten free. I found out about it at a quilting retreat at a B&B in Yarrow. They served it to me for dessert and it looked way too good to eat...or to be able to eat is more like it .....but they had saved the box for me and it has a little red sticker on it claining it to be gluten free..and there are 3 different kinds and they are all very very yummy. They come frozen ..so you take them out of the freezer and cut it frozen ..then let thaw..then share with your celiac friends.
thanks
