I recently stated that propane was "pure".  A recent poster has informed me
that it is infused with garlic oil!!

This is done by law, in the U.S. at least, to give it a distinct odor to
more easily detect leaks as the pure gas has no odor.

Let me state again that all who responded to me had no problem with propane
use.
