My hair has substantially thinned out over the past year. When
diagnosed (end of April) with CD, I began thinking that maybe the hair loss
was due to the malabsorption and my hair not receiving the nutrients it
needs. Am I correct in this assumption?
I have been GF a little over a month now. My chronic diarhea
stopped only a few days after going on the diet and has not returned.
This leads me to also assume that the diet must be working OK. Does that
mean that I might see a turn around with my hair as well? Might it start
filling in again? If so, how long does this take?
I have had long, straight hair all my life. Having it thin out to
this condition is really depressing. I am crossing my fingers and hoping
that it will grow back healthy as my intestine do the same. I would
appreciate feed back from anyone with experience or info in this area.
        Thank you!
