The food diary is a good idea. First eliminate everything you usually
eat for a bit, then slowly introduce the foods back into your diet.
---
This could be caused by too much acid in the diet---tomato sauce,
orange juice. Look to your diet. In the meantime, you can get rid of
them almost instantly by going to health food store and getting the
homeopathic remedy RHUS TOX 30C...take 2 pills every two hours until
they start to go and then stop. Costs $5 in health food stores.....my
md recommended it
---
Eat one 'clean' food (apples or boiled eggs [no fat, could be an
allergen] or steamed green beans) and write down your reactions for up
to say 6 hours. Alternative you could use Dr. Coca's pulse test: Eat
one food, take your pulse at 30, 60, 90 & 120 min. If there is a
significant rise in pulse you can surmise it is a possible allergen.
---
Think in terms of families of foods -- people with poison ivy
sensitivity often have trouble with cashews. People with legume
problems to peanuts can have sensitivity to a similar plant like soy.
---
Mangoes are toxic to some people. Some folks can eat the mango if they
don't have to handle the peeling.
---
Have you been tested for pollen allergies or food allergies?
Check: http://allergies.about.com/cs/cross/a/aa052801a.htm
and http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/allergyfood.htm
You may need to carry an Epi-pen in case of a severe reaction
(anaphylactic shock).
---
My legs bread out in an ITCHY rash if I consume fructose. Try an
elimination diet. Drop off one food i.e. nuts for 3 or 4 days and
see what happens; then try fruit, etc.
---
Eat potatoes, cooked fresh veg for 4-7 days and if no problem add one
food same length of time.
---
Have you eaten any foods of late that contain 629-635 as additives?
Look at www.fedupwithadditives.com and see if your rash resembles the
one relating to ribo rash.
