I think it would be very helpful for all of us if people explained the
acronyms they are using. I guess we all know what "CD" and "GF" means, but
lately there have been a lot of posts on other conditions which were only
described as acronyms. It might save you time writing, but if someone has
to write back and ask you what you mean, that will take even longer.
It is common practice in published material to fully spell out everything
once, setting the acronym that you want to use in brackets behind it, as in
Celiac Disease (CD). Afterwards you can use the acronym. It only costs you
a few additional words, but it will make your note more comprehensible.
