Hi,

This seems to be a popular vacation place, I got LOTS of requests to
summarize my findings. The major supermarket chain down there seems to be
Food Lion - I emailed them and will post with their reply when I hear from
them. There is a health food store named the Daily Menu Food Market at the
6 mile post in Kill Devil Hill. I called them and they said they have a
good selection of gluten free pastas, breads and crackers. For
restaurants, I had two people recommend the Black Pelican and one recommend
the Lone Cedar Inn (near bridge to Manteo). Also. several people wrote to
tell me that there is a new Outback in the Outer Banks, but I couldn't find
it on the website. We're looking forward to our vacation - thanks for all
your help!
