Hi Listmates,
Now how is this for a coincidence. I am a celiac and so is my oldest daughter...both biopsy diagnosed. My son is a type 1 diabetic and has just become engaged to a lady. She walked thru my house when they were first dating and noticed my gluten free toaster... and announced that her mother was also just diagnosed with celiac disease. Okay so that was last year and she just had the blood test done ( in Canada) and it was positive. She kinda knew in her heart that she was a celiac ...having the typical symptoms but not severe. Okay so my question to you is...what is the percentage that her identical twin will also be celiac? She is without symtoms .. or so she says. I thought it would be 100% but some family mambers feel it's lower then that...like 65% or something. Any other identical twins out there? Or any one know the answer. What about this poor couple's chances when they go to have children? They are already in love...so no chances of them splitting up and finding spouses without this history LOL
Thanks
Di in BC
