Thanks to all who responded to my question about Ceftin’s gluten free status on Saturday.  Unfortunately drug manufacturers are not available to call or respond to emails on weekends.
I was given Cefuroxime the generic of Ceftin.  The manufacturer is Lupin and I did call them today and they also answered my email today regarding my question about being gluten free.  The customer service representative told me immediately Cefuroxime was gluten free however their email response was not as decisive – indicating they had a lot of different suppliers and could not guarantee it would be gluten free but it was on their gluten free list – oh well.
