In recent months there have been a number of inquiries on the list about
bone density, osteoporosis, should I take
Fosamax, etc. I subscribe to Dr. Mercola e-mail newsletter, and today
received the current issue. He currently has
this posted on his website. He was among the first people saying how
important Vitamin D is, and now almost 10 yrs
later the establishment has gotten on board. He is now talking about
how Vitamin K is important for bone health,
and also has an association with Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis.
I know our daughter (celiac, ulcerative colitis) was off the bottom of
the test range for both Vitamin D and K when we
got our family doctor to test her. She was not clotting when she got a
clot and had alot of nosebleeds. She is still
touchy, but now we can at least monitor it.

I am passing along the link in case it can help
somebody else.
