Jenna Drew / Miss New Jersey International 2013 has been chosen to be Miss Northeast International 2014. Her platform is and has always been Celiac Disease Awareness, and she has been an advocate for us since 2007, and has proved to be a role model for those of us with celiac disease. She herself was diagnosed in 2009.

I think because she has seen the long time agonizing diagnosis process within her own family and then the positive out come that a gluten free diet can bring, is why she works so hard to bring awareness to others. She also adores children and she can connect with them to bring out happiness while talking about celiac with them.

Last year she unselfishly traveled more than 8,000 miles on her own in support of spreading awareness and speaking on behalf of our community with her title, and her new goal is 20,000 miles this year.

She has written several guides for helping those with celiac and developed the gluten free meal plans, and most recently wrote the definitive guide to gluten gone to help newly diagnosed Celiac's transfer into the gluten free diet much easier than past patients have been able to.

Jenna goes by @GFJenna on twitter, and writes the blog under www.glutenfreejenna.com - you can find her on Facebook under Gluten Free Jenna and Jenna Drew Miss New Jersey International 2013 - she also just helped the world wide celiac association with their webpage and the ability to collect donations (unpaid position)

Many of you already know Jenna and her work ethic, helping others and her selfless volunteerism, she is also currently attending Rutgers for her Knowledge Master's Degree in Library Reasearch Science.... While doing all the volunteering!

She is one extremely busy and active person with Celiac Disease herself.

Jenna could use our help.

If you know of any gluten free companies that would sponsor her, please send them her story, she would be a great spoke person for our community. Jenna gives her time in volunteering!

Any donations, even $5-$10, the cost of one cup of coffee, would help her greatly with expenses.

I will let her tell more of her story here.
