Subject: Bacon
What brands and types of bacon are Gluten Free and Lactose Free? I do not
know whom to trust. Please help me with this. Thanks
Stuart
Summarizing replies for everyone to view:
Oscar Mayer is gluten free and lactose free. Annette.
Hormel Naturals (look for a brown-box wrapper) has a line of gluten-free
bacon and lunch meat. It says "gluten free" in fairly bold letters on the
packaging. I can't say for sure about lactose (not something I've had to
look for), but they don't use nitrates and other junk, so I like the
products for that reason. The Hormel web site might address whether they
contain lactose. Liz
I know Hormel Natural is gluten and lactose free and believe Black Label is
as well, although we have never checked it for lactose since that isn't a
concern for us.
WalMart brand, "Great Value" states right on the package, Gluten Free. And,
it is very good, they have thick sliced or regular sliced. I use it all the
time. Linda in PA
