Go to _www.gluten.net_ (http://www.gluten.net) , click on Resources, then on
Educational Materials to find a 2-page publication called "Understanding
Your Student" The direct link to the publication is:
_http://www.gluten.net/downloads/print/studentflat.pdf_
(http://www.gluten.net/downloads/print/studentflat.pdf)

This with some of the other publications on that website should be very
helpful to you and your school.

Karen's post:

I was wondering if anyone had a simple handout geared towards teachers that
explains what Celiac disease is and why, even though some folks with it do not
have an immediate reaction, it needs to be taken seriously.

There was a substitute in my daughter's preschool today and when I picked
her up she was eating pretzals! I am glad I caught it or I may never have known!
She claimed to not know at all that grace had any "allergies".

Any other suggestions would be great! We have looked into ordering a
bracelet or stickers to try to have her wear so folks know to watch her food!
