Also, many health food and specialty stores (at least in the L.A. area)
are starting to produce lists of which of their foods are gluten free. I
believe they have been consulting with the celiac associations and the
companies they use to be certain.  I am not sure of exactly how accurate
the lists are, but it would at least cut down the need to research
everything.  (some stores around me that do it are Trader Joe's and Wild
Oats. )
