Here are some of the many replies to where can I get pans for English Muffins,
hot dog and hamburger buns. Thank you all for your help. Sorry I was so late
in summarizing. It looks like we have lots of choices for baking aids.
I received so many great responses that I had to combine many.

I think EnerG English muffin molds from Ener-G Foods. They come 4 per package
at $4.61 per package. You can call Ener-G Foods at (206) 767-6660 or
1-800-331-5222. Their Web site address is www.ener-g.com.

Miss Robens sell rings that you can shape into hot dog buns.

Gluten Free Pantry. They have deep (1 1/2") hamburger pans. Each pan makes 6
buns. I believe the cost was around $27 for a set of 2. 6 rings are 3.95.
Their number is 1-800-291-8386. www.glutenfree.com

Check out Williams=Sonoma or the New York Baking Co on 22 St and 6th Ave in
Manhattan, NY

Muffin Top pans can be purchased at Corningware Stores.

Baker's Secret Muffin Topper pans. I use them as an English muffin also. I
purchased these fairly cheap
from a local dept store, Bradlees in MA.

Maid of Scandinavia division of Sweet Celebrations 1-800-328-6722. They
have the largest selection of pans, etc that I have ever seen.

I would also go to Lechtner's for some of the items. I find them reasonably
priced for lots of items and odd items.

Muffin Top Pan, from "Betty Crocker Catalog" at ( PO Box 5000 Minneapolis, MN
55440-5000 ). It is located on page 6, #4626J3 for $16.50. This is a six
hole muffin top pan. PS: Phone # 612-479-4980 Fax: 612-540-7432 or

Have you tried Wilton? You can find them online. I have seen a limited number
of their products at J.C. Penney, Wal-Mart, and Target. A muffin cap pan,
which would probably be the one to use for those hamburger buns can be found
at http://www.wilton.com/wiltonos/w115.asp
A list of other items can be found at

You could perhaps call one of them, and ask whether they have stores in
New Jersey. They are a clearance chain, so sell different items at
different times. However, the ones near me (I'm in Michigan) curently have
little pie tins, as for those individual (round) "lunch box" pies. They
are selling them in a pack of 4 for $1.59, I think. I bought 6 packs.
Depending on how much batter I put in each one, the rolls turn out like
hamburger buns (more-or-less) or the somewhat larger onion-roll size buns.
I followed the suggestion from this list to slice them first, then freeze.
We use them for burgers and for any kind of sandwich we might eat on an
onion or Kaiser roll.

The Betty Crocker "coupon" catalog has sets of muffin top pans. Large and
small size! $8.95 plus 40 points, or one of each for $15.95 plus 90 points.
Item #4626J3. You can call 1-612-479-4980 and order, sending the points later
(according to the catalog I have - spring 99)

The Baker's Catalogue for King Arthur www.kingarthur.com has english muffin
rings.

hat I could find was extremely expensive. Now I use empty tuna or pineapple
cans Use the larger 12 oz. size. They are exactly the same size as English
muffins. They are great for burger buns, and when cut in two make great
sandwich buns. The extra high sides really help the bread rise. Best of all,
the price is free!

Pyrex glass molds the good size I think. Be sure to put Pam or other similar
thing before using. I got mine in the Gourmet Garage in Marlton, Rte 73. NJ.
Cheap too.

The only hot dog bun pans I could think of were shaped like ears of corn and
were for corn bread.

You can shape your own by using aluminum foil.

Some people use tuna cans, but I am concerned about using a can that
might not be made for baking. I don't know what the heat would do to
the metal and food. Does anyone know if it is safe?

I don't see any need to have pans. I made buns today just as if
I were making drop biscuits or cookies. I used a heaping serving spoon per
bun. They look just like regular hamburger buns.

I use English muffin rings that I bought at a kitchen store in Atlanta called
Kitchens & Things. I use it also for pizza shells, which I fully bake for
about 25 mins at 350 and cut into individual slices and freeze. When I want
pizza I take them out and heat about 8 mins to crisp bottom, then top with
favorite toppings and bake at 400 for 15-18 mins. It's as good as Pizza Hut or
any other I've ever had. Hope these suggestions work for you, they have for me.
