Hi Kathy-
saw your post and I don't know where you live but I got my donut maker at
MACY'S department store in NY City. I'm sure any large dept store carries
them. If not there is a mail order catalog called Colonial Gardens that sells
them for a few dollars more (I paid $24.99 on sale) their # is 800-245-3399.
Ask for item#A633180. I think I love this machine even more than my bread
maker. And my co-workers love them. I've been making banana choc chip ones
and I shake them in powdered sugar. Now if I could just get a good
substitution for hard pretzels, I'd feel like I covered all the missing items
from my old diet. Also, they are baked not fried and they give
recommendations for substitutes for the oil and fat that goes in the batter
(like Wonderslim fat and egg substitute.) Don't forget to add a tsp of
Xanthan gum into the recipes.
Good luck
Leslie- NYC
