Many thanks to all suggestions.

To summarize I was looking for places to eat at in Atlantic City NJ.
Not sure where we will go as it is not my birthday...

There's a PF Chang at the Tropicana. I recently was there and ate at
Cuba Libre in the Tropicana, they were very accomodating and had some
excellent options.

The Tropicana Casino has P.F. Chang's. They carry a GF menu.
Trump Marina has a coffee shop on the second floor where the waitresses will accommodate you with no flour foods.
Of course you can pick out your "safe" foods at any
buffet. I live near AC and have never had a problem. The Tropicana
also has an Irish Pub on the second floor where you can order burgers and such and I always
ask the waitress to ask the Chef if an item is floured. You'd be
surprised how many come back and tell me "not" to eat something I
thought was okay. Believe me, with business so bad in this economy,
they never want a patron to say they got sick at their place. Don't be
afraid to ask.

The Continental in Caesars Mall--waitresses have a list of gf items; also PF Chang's has a gf menu; Palm-steak, hash browns, etc. ok

Go to my blog for restaurants in A.C. and the Jersey Shore -

(Looks to be a great source SK)

I think the last time we were there we ate a chain with a gf menu in Tropicana.
However, Caesar's in the past had been extremely helpful. I had
written in advance, and they provided gf bread, made fresh. The chef
himself had picked up a mix at a health food store. Wherever you go,
just contact them in advance.

I had contacted our support group about eating in the Ocean City NJ
area, and had the following recommendations for the A.C. area (Chef
James said that any of Harrah's restaurants are okay if you contact him
two to three days in advance):

We had a good experience at Harrah's in their
Reflections
Cafe. I called a few days ahead of time and spoke with the chef on duty
(Chef
James), who ordered a few gluten free specialty items for my DD (pasta,
waffles). Call several days to a week ahead so they have enough time to
order
what you'd like. Chef James said to only order your meal with the chef,
not
with the server....good thing because the one waitress tried to tell me
how
great their mini (gluten) pancakes were for kids. Anyway, I asked for
the chef
each time we sat down, ordered with the chef (and asked questions to
make sure
I felt comfortable)...the chef then prepared DD's food and served it to
my DD
himself, which made me feel more comfortable about the risk of cc. None
of
their desserts are gluten free, but there is a food court next door
with Ben
& Jerry's ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, and maybe
more,
are gluten-free).

Yes the steak house at the borgata. Make sure your waiter understands, ask to speak with the chef.
