Annette from San Francisco writes:
I'm in need of a recipe for a good, firm bread similar to black, rye
bread. Creating such a savory bread using gluten free flours may be a
dream of mine, but I'm at a loss for what to put my herring and other
open-faced sandwich toppings on these days.

If you have any suggestions, send me an email at [log in to unmask]

Call Red Star Yeast & Products at 1-800-423-5422 and ask for a copy of
their gluten free bread recipes. My wife makes the Sourdough Rye bread
and it comes great There is also a recipe for pumpernickel bread in
their brochure.
Buon Appetito !
