I am posting this information to let everyone know about an important
symposium on November 2nd, sponsored by the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia.

Patient Education Day is a symposium by experts for patients and interested
medical practitioners.

Topics include:  Current Research in CD, Pediatric Celiac Disease, Dermatitis
Herpetiformis, What Grains to Avoid, Oats and How Much Gluten is Gluten-Free,
Pediatric and Adult Neurological Problems in CD, Osteoporosis, Genetics of CD.

Speakers include: Peter Green, MD (Columbia University), Don Kasarda, PhD
(U.S. Dept. of Agriculture), Elizabeth Shane, MD (Columbia University),
Norman Latov, MD (Cornell University), Amy R. DeFelice, MD (Columbia
University), Joseph Levy, MD (Columbia University), John Zone, MD (University
of Utah), Carol Semrad, MD (Columbia University), Bruce Roseman, MD (New York
Medical College), Conrad Gilliam, PhD (Columbia University), Anne Roland Lee,
MSEd, RD, CDE (Columbia University).

The Registration Fee is $50 per person, which includes the academic
presentations, continental breakfast, refreshments and lunch.  Vendors of
gluten-free food will also be present.

Pre-registration by October 1st is required.
