Chicken Paradise (chicken paradise.com) just had a cancellation for this weekend, October 2, 3, 4 so we are available if anyone is interested in visiting this weekend.

The Paradise has been playing "chicken" with one other notable San Antonio b and b throughout the summer--constantly vying for # 1 on Tripadvisor. Although currently ranked # 2, the Paradise can compete with the best of the best because Anne and Joe Barfield, owners and innkeepers, have the highest possible standards in every category! The one spacious king sized suite has been booked solid since last April. The magnificent grounds are stunning with a beautiful Aztec themed swimming pool with a totally accessible treehouse high above the pens of beautiful (and spotlessly clean chickens and handsome peacocks. The gluten free breakfasts are made with the freshest ingredients and herbs from their garden.This is a refuge, a haven, an oasis!--the Barfield's even have a luxurious outdoor shower for those of us who love a swim throughout the day and evening. The Chicken Paradise got its charming moniker from the fun British cartoon flick "Chicken Run"--made in the late 1980's---a clever take on the classic 1960's film "The Great Escape"! Chicken Paradise is a true escape from urban life while relaxing on a "farm" in the heart of the Alamo City. If you prize cleanliness, beauty, good food and hospitality with a gracious unhurried manner, plan a visit to the Chicken Paradise! Lily,a sweet young dog will act as your escort and her good looking mentor, Ringo, an older Australian blue-heeler will greet you. It is impeckable! (Pun intended!)
