Thank you to everyone who responded with testimonials about their
experience/s with gluten in medication. Unfortunately unlabeled gluten in
medication continues to be a problem for people with celiac disease and
gluten sensitivity, as demonstrated by the experiences described. The
National Foundation for Celiac Awareness incorporated several of the stories
into its comment that were submitted in response to the Food and Drug
Administration's Safe Use Initiative; Availability of Information. Those
comments are available to view here,
http://www.regulations.gov/search/Regs/home.html#documentDetail?R=0900006480

For those who would like to learn more about gluten in medication, and some
tips on recognizing if a medication may have gluten in it, please visit
NFCA's Pharmacy pages on its website,
