To add to Ann's post, I have this book too. All recipes use a commercial cake mix as the base of the recipe.

The cookbook author, Ann Byrn, includes her 3 favorites, her kids' 3 favorites and her firends' 3 favorites on the website. Kinda interesting. 

Bob's Red Mill site has recipes based on their GF Yellow Cake Mix

Under their Recipes tab, a scratch recipe by Carol Fenster is posted as well as many more 'scratch' recipes.
