I have been "gluten free" since 1998 when I was diagnosed with Celiac
Disease two months prior to my wedding. At that time, I did the best I knew
how, which has progressively gotten worse over the last 5 or 6 years.
Unfortunately, I do not get sick when I am just a little bad (although I am
aware that I am doing damage), but my weight is out of control and I don't
really know any other overweight people with celiac disease!? SO.with a
brand new baby and a new year, I really want to do better. PLEASE send me
ideas, including self help ones, like "search the archives for..," so that I
can be better in 2005. To clarify, I don't eat bread and pizza, etc.I just
don't check everything out as carefully as I should and I eat things like
pre-shredded cheese (which I have heard is coated in flour) and such. I
have begun to believe that my difficulty losing weight is probably due to my
"cheating" on my celiac "diet." Thanks for your support and help. I really
appreciate all of your help, in advance!

Any advice on being gluten free on the run or when there's not much time for
me would be appreciated too.I know that's why I've given in in the past.

P.S. I am in the St Louis, MO area if any one has specific info there.
