Hello Everyone. For those of you living or visiting Arizona, the following
is a list of celiac-related activities. This also is an announcement of an
upcoming celiac-diabetes baking/cooking internet discussion.
1. Whole Foods in Tempe, AZ is hosting a gluten-free rye bread
demonstration given by LynnRae on October 16.
2. Whole Foods in Paradise Valley, AZ is Hosting a Gluten-Free Lecture
Series presented by LynnRae Ries the 3rd Tuesday of each month. September
topic is Baking GFWF Breads, October is Getting Thru the Holidays and how
to make no-bake appetizers and November is How to Dine out Gluten-Free
3. The Paradise Valley Community College is sponsoring a What? No Wheat?
Presentation given by LynnRae Ries during their Health Fair in October.
4. Wild Oats in Northern Phoenix is ho
sting a What? No Wheat? Presentation
and discussion in October presented by LynnRae Ries
5. A Gluten-Free Pizza Get Together is scheduled for September 27, 2003
6. An internet discussion on celiac-diabetes baking/cooking with LynnRae
is scheduled for October.
7. The Phoenix area alone has 6 support groups representing ROCK, CDF, GIG
and CSA.
8. Phoenix is home of the Gluten-Free Cooking Club.
