A while ago, I questioned whether there was a link between celiac and
thyroid.  All the responses indicated that there was definately a link
between these two autoimmune disorders.  What I have found very interesting
is that in 6 cases the mother has a thyroid disease (5 with hypothyroidism
and one with hyperthyroidism) and a child has celiac disease. In two cases
(and I don't know about the others but two explicitly stated this) there is
no other family history of CD, so it makes me wonder if the thyroid disease
is the doorway to developing CD??  Just a thought....

P.S. For those who were curious, my CD tests came back negative.  I eliminated
dairy and my symptoms have improved.
