<<Can anyone advise of a good multi-vitamin that is gluten-free, =
dairy-free and soy-free?>>

i've been meaning to post on this for about 12 months. i'm glad someone
asked the question, prompting me to do it. b/c i've been meaning to
post on this forever, i'm posting directly to the list instead of to
the person asking the question.

Natrol "My Favorite Multiple" is a great high quality, high potency
multi for someone who doesn't get much calcium. It's four tablets and
$10.99 per month (iherb.com) OR 6 capsules and $11 or $13 per month.
Both the capsules and the tablets come with and without iron. It has
1000 mgs calcium and 400 mg magnesium both of which are very atypical
for a multi.

Another thing I love is that it has 20 mg of zinc and fairly high b
vitamins.

The iron used is Ferrochel Chelated Iron (iron bisglycinate), which is
absolutely the best form of iron available. It doesn't cause
intestinal distress and isn't known to build up in the body in risky
ways that other iron supplements can. In the rat toxicity studies that
were done, they couldn't kill the rats.......*all* other forms of iron
can build up in the blood to toxic levels, from doses that aren't
terribly high. That's why it's generally important to not take iron
unless you know you need it. Using this form of iron though, give you
a little more wiggle room, better absorption, and is better for your gut.

I've found it locally for as high as $21. So far, iherb.com is the
best value i've found for my vites. I get the Natrol vite there as
well as my fish oil, digestive enzymes, vitamin D, Vitamin K and really
everything. The prices can't be beat, and there are additional
discounts at checkout. Using the P code gets 10% off regardless of
order size and shipping is free at $20.

For a person who does get sufficient dietary calcium, Natrol Makes
another good vitamin called Natrol My Favorite Multiple Take One. It's
a One a day type vite but with better quality ingredients. comes with
or without iron.....and has very little cal/mag. It's very
inexpenive......if i'm remembering correctly it's around $20 for a 3 mos
supply. But remember, to use it, one's calcium requirements must be
getting met from other sources (and magnesium). and don't forget to
address vitamin D and K.

<<Also, has anyone had experience with homeopathic remedies for allergy =
and sinus relief? >>

actually looking just for homeopathy? or natural remedies in general?
bromelain and quercetin can be very very helpful in mitigating allergic
responses.

on an *empty* stomach:
2 tablets 2000 GDU bromelain
1 500 mg capsule quercetin
1 500 mg vitamin c capsule/lozenge

every 2 or so hours.....multiple times per day.
