Super Blue Green Algae is often discussed in the misc.health.alternative and
sci.med.nutrition newsgroups. Glowing results, like the above, are only
posted by people selling this algae, which is only sold via a multi-level
marketing scheme, where all consumers technically become sellers.

The question is where does the zip come from. Vitamin pills don't give
people zip, so it can't be vitamins. Mineral supplements don't give people
zip, so it can't be minerals. Meat (a very rich source of amino acids)
doesn't give people zip, so it can't be amino acids.

This pond scum is _Aphanizomenon_flos-aquae_. It flourishes on this lake in
Oregon due to the fertilizer runoff in the area.

There have been many articles in scientific journals on this bacteria and
others. These articles have been researched extensively by Mark Thorsen and
he has written many articles. Some are on a page off of this site:

A brief summary of some rather technical writings points to the zip in this
algae coming from anatoxin-a, which is a potent alkaloid neurotoxin. This
toxic substance can be tested for, but Cell Tech does not do it. Mark feels
that it is because anatoxin-a is the active ingredient, and that eliminating
anatoxin-a from SBGA would be like taking the nicotine out of tobacco.

Also this stuff is expensive. I can't imagine why someone would feed it to
their cats!

That is a blatant solicitation for customers and is against list policy.
This is the way they do it in the non-commercial newsgroups, trying to make
it not look like an ad.
