As of this morning, I have received 62 replies to my opinion that McDonald's should not have been sued that I posted yesterday.
55 people agreed with me
4 disagreed
3 didn't know about the lawsuit (I followed the link posted 2/19 by Sherrell (Ellie) Whichever : http://www.newsday.com/news/health/ and clicked on the McDonald's fries lawsuit to find out about it.)

I received so much good info from you all that I wish I could copy it all in this post. Thank you for your positive support.

One person sent me the link to www.csaceliacs.org. I encourage all of you to go read it, too. (they agree, but I 'd like you to see why)
We are highly encouraged to call or write to McDonald's to let them know that we support them.

Others pointed out that restaurants are not included in the new labeling law, so McDonald's did not have to comply-- they were doing this on their own!!!

Of the few who disagreed, it was mainly out of concern for the health of their loved ones after consuming unsafe ingredients.
I assure you that I also react to the least bit of gluten (I react if there is even just a crumb of a host in the cup when I partake the Precious Blood at Holy Communion.) and my daughter gets the itchy blisters from DH. She also threw up violently when we regretably tried DeLand millet bread several years ago, but nobody sued them that I know of, even though many people supposedly adversely reacted to their products. (I hope I didn't just open another pandora's box ). In spite of our sensitivity, I do like to patronize the places that try to accomodate us with a gluten free menu to encourage them and others to keep trying. On the other hand, if I patronize one of those restaurants and they just don't really get it, or their menu is wrong, then I let them know and I won't return to their restaurant unless they have made visible changes, BUT, I don't sue them!

On a final note, and quite significantly, one person sent me an email this morning stating that in the news this morning it was announced that McDonald's ff have been tested and are gf!
