     I may have confused some list members with the remark about phenol in
lip balms.  I did not mean phenol contained gluten, but it is a suspected
carcinogen, and as I understand it, a nerve deadening agent that also dries
out the tissues you are trying to moisturize.

     Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
