I spoke to Nature's Sunshine's Health Science Department (1-801-342-4300,
Tad or Andrea), and spoke to Tad about the gluten/wheat content in their
products. I particularly enjoy the High Potency Grapine. It's a great
antiinflammatory. That particular product is gluten-free; however, Tad
informed me that the Syner Protein drink and Nature's Prenatal DO CONTAIN
GLUTEN. Also, any of Nature's Sunshine's products that have any B vitamins
in them contain wheat germ, which of course would contain gluten, albeit a
very small amount. Tad also explained that they would be removing wheat
germ from those products in the future. I suggested, if they have to make a
label change anyway, to please put the proclamation that the product does
not contain gluten on the label, as that would alert a large market to the
safety of their product. Worth a try!
