From: "Michele Chabin" <[log in to unmask]>

My name is Michele Chabin and I am researching an article (for the
weekly newspaper USA Weekend) on allergies/food intolerances and the
push for better food labeling.

I'm eager to hear from anyone who has had an
allergic/intolerance/sensitivity reaction to a packaged food, drink,
medicine, etc., especially if you feel that better package labeling
could have prevented the problem.

Another relevant issue: I'd be interested in hearing from people who can
tolerate a small amt of a product but not a large amount. Knowing HOW
MUCH lactose/sugar, whatever is in a product would certainly help some
of them/us. I, for example, avoid all dairy products, but might be able
to consume some, were I to know the quantity of lactose in a product.
Please send me your anecdotes.

Finally, do you know of any organizations or individuals lobbying for
better for labeling?

I look forward to hearing from you. When writing, please let me know
whether I can use your information in my article, for publication.

Thanks, Michele Chabin
