Hi Listmates,

I'd like to extend a sincere thank you to all of you -- from whom I have
learned a great deal about ways to cope with my new way of life. I had Celiac
as a child in the late 1950's, and was told that I "outgrew" it at age 6.
After suffering for about 20 years, I'm now on the right track. I've been GF
for 2 months now and have a question that professionals just can't answer.
Here it is:

Even though I'm not consuming more calories per day than what I used to, I've
gained 6 pounds in the last 2 months on the strict GF diet. I eat lots of
salads, veggies and fresh fruit, but I'm really putting on the weight. In
addition, the my body is looking different than it ever has and the weight is
not going on proportionately.

I'm 40 years old, petite, and have been the same weight for approx. 12 years,
so this is of great concern to me.

I appreciate your advice!
