Has anyone experienced the following?
The given: My Porphyria can cause ungodly
stomach cramping with constipation. This
was different. It appears to be strictly a food
problem.
I had a taste for Cannoli. It happens about
once every 10 years!
I also make Pizelles and used them as the
"crust".
Here's the problem. I can eat the Pizelles,
no problem. I can eat the cream cheese, no problem.
I can eat the ricotta cheese, no problem. I can eat
the Pistachio nuts, no problem.
When I combined them all into a cannoli, I about
died. Was up all night with waves of severe
cramping until it works its way "on down the
line" After it's made it's trip (no diarrhoea),
no more cramping.
This has happened before where the individual
pieces cause no problem but, a combination will.
Everything was sterile gluten free.
