As a reminder to our new members, the term "outgrew" is no longer
accurate. Once a person is accurately diagnosed as a celiac, it is
permanent. Some teenages can go into a stage with less noticeable
symptoms which led people into incorrectly believing that they were
cured.
As the poster stated, it came back and I would guess that they suffered
for 20 years until they obtained a second diagnosis.
