Hi to All,
I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. From time to time I get small
round "growths" on my skin. "Growth" is not really a good word for
describing them as it has malignant connotations. I am sure these are
quite benign as I have been getting them for years. They are like a flat
wart, about 3 to 6 mm in diameter, slightly paler than my normally fair skin
colour. With a bit of a rub, they can be scraped off. They appear mainly
on my trunk and legs and are not painful. I am told that they are not
psoriasis.
I once was told by a doctor, quite some years ago, that people with CD
get such "marks" on their skin caused by an immune reaction which
deposits something in the skin. I don't know whether he was confusing
these with DH, or whether Celiacs do commonly get other skin marks. I
haven't read anything about it. I seem to have a lot more of these
appearing of late which is what prompted me to ask other listmembers
about them. Can anyone shed any light?
Regards,
Barrie Woods
