Registration forms for the National Convention of the Canadian Celiac
Association are now available. The convention will be held in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan, Canada from June 6 - 8, 1997. The cost for CCA members is
$125.00 and for non-members $150.00. The registration fee includes all
meals, and sessions. All meals will be totally gluten-free, with many
lactose-free choices available as well. A banquet will be held at the
Western Development Museum and will feature native hoop dancers, and
old-time fiddling. The banquet is included in the registration fee.

Speakers will address celiac disease and bowel cancer, nutrition, celiac
disease and diabetes, strategies for coping with children with celiac
disease, and coping with a chronic illness. There will also be a panel
discussion with representatives from associations that grow gluten-free
grains such as flax, wild rice, pulse crops, quinoa, and canola.

A number of distributors of gluten-free products, both national and
local, will be at the convention in a trade-show area. Samples will be
available, and products will be for sale.
