Last year, my bone density test showed osteoporosis. My bone specialist put
me on Fosamax 5 mg. I took up an exercise program - mostly walking,
walking, walking.
This month, I had another bone density test. It showed I had increased the
calcium in my bones back up to normal !!!!
I thank Fosamax, exercise, and the fact that I've now been GF for about 2
years.
I have never had any problems with the Fosamax whatsoever - certainly
nothing like Gayle described. Perhaps that's because I'm taking just half
the normal dose of 10 mg.
To handle the 1/2 hour of remaining upright and not eating anything, I go
for my walk - kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak!
Best Wishes,
Judith
