Hi Anne,

I can almost set my watch by the timing of a gluten reaction. It is about
6 hours after I have eaten gluten that I start to feel really sick. I have
noticed lately, however, that I get hiccups right away if I eat something
with gluten in it (this is not consistent but it is related to gluten).
Lactose reactions are similar but not as pronounced. They tend to be
lower abdominal cramping whereas gluten makes me feel extremely nauseous
midsection 6 hours after ingestion.
Hope this helps,
Lissy
