Recently Dwight inquired about an article on celiac which might have
appeared in a Boston newspaper. I checked in the database from Dow Jones
News Service which covers papers from the northeast, and found so items of
interest:

1)in the Boston Globe, a 600 word article including a small notice of the
recent findings about oats. Date of the article: 10/19/95, p.3, entitled:
Jet lag tale works some of the time.

2)Baltimore Sun, 7/11/95, p. 1D "A Healthy and happy girl suddenly became
sick... " This is a long article (1900 words) about one family's experience
with their daughter's diagnosis & how they have coped.

3)Star Ledger (Newark, NJ), 5/6/94, "Sprue patients' grain intolerance
requires a lifelong restricted diet." (Dr. Dononue's column). Write-in
column, one short piece about lifelong nature of diet.

4)Star Ledger, 8/28/95, "Gluten-free diet works wonders for person with
celiac sprue." Another of Dr. Donohue's columns, short commentary on varying
length of time to healing after beginning gluten-free diet.

5)Virginian-Pilot and Ledger-Star (Norfolk, VA), 4/6/95, p.F1, "When food is
the enemy; sensitivity to certain foods ..." Long article (2700 words) on
food allergies, food sensitivities; 2 paragraphs on celiac.

6)Telegram & Gazette (Worcester, MA), 3/28/94, p. C1, "It's all relative;
skeletons in family medical history can affect your health." Thoughts on the
family tree & how to track genetic inclinations.

Many public libraries have access to Dow Jones News Retrieval & could
retrieve the full text of these articles.
