I'm not a doctor but I know what the answer would be if it were me. I would
do what makes you feel good now, and worry about conclusive testing later.
The GF diet cannot harm you, and though it may be an inconvenience, I think
the results speak for themselves. My 15.5-month-old son responded
DRAMATICALLY to the GF diet. Like you, he would have had to be made very
sick again in order to get a conclusive biopsy. Who needs it? You've been
sick a long time and you deserve to be well and happy for a while. By the
way, my son's GI specialist was several steps behind Don Wiss and others on
the 'net who suggested we try the GF diet to see if it would help. I swear,
if you don't have your diagnosis tattooed on your face, these guys will miss
it 75% of the time. (Sorry, MDs out there ...)
