Regardless of one's attitude towards the purification of distillation, I
was shocked. No one tried to find out what was added to any liquor after
distillation. "Ingredient" lists on liquor in the US are controlled by BART
not the FDA. They're clearly incomplete: where does rum or dark tequila get
its color from? Colors don't distill when lightweight alcohol is
evaporating.  Does carmel sound likely?
 
I'd suggest that those following the "holy trinity" provided by some celiac
societies call the manufacturer(s) of their favorite brand(s).
 
Meanwhile, believing in distillation, I may just call elsewhere so I can
move beyond triple distilled potato vodka.
