My sister and my mother wear those plastic contraptions to keep them from
grinding their teeth at night.  This Christmas, while visting my
mother-in-law, she also pulled out the same device before she went to bed.
 
I'm not celiac, but seem to have the other kind of gluten intolerance that
is a toxicological reaction to the protein fractions, and doesn't involve
the immune system.
 
I'm benefiting from gluten-free but am not very successful at getting my
teeth-grinding family to try it!
