I also suffered a great deal from sensitivities and allergies, to the
point that just walking down the detergent ill in a supermarket made
me ill. These came on in the last few years before and after my diagnosis,
but I guess have been steadily improving; I can't remember the last time
I've had a serious problem, except with pollen. I also had, several years
running, a problem with gummy eyes which is much improved.

One interesting thing about the possible connection--when I was tested
for food allergies, the items I reacted positively to were all foods
that I had never eaten much of until a few years prior to my diagnosis.
These also no longer bother me much, although I don't know if I still
technically have an allergy to them. I wonder if the allergy somehow
developed because of the untreated disease having an effect on my
immune system.
