Yes the second time Case had botox when he was little they had his mom
hold him down and it hurt immensely...she did not have the heart to ever do
that again and was shocked by the procedure. The next doc we saw said he
would not give botox without a light sedative. This time it was done while
he was under the anesthesia from the surgery so he felt nothing.
However we have not done it for quite a while as after a few times when he
was little it stopped working.
I do not think it is humane to hurt small children with needles so I am in
favor of a sedative. However the first time we did it we did not know what
to expect and did not even realize how painful it would be for him.
Botox can offer some good temporary relief.
