Amen, Bob; to the idea of staying with analog for now!

Some of the more recent Yaesu analog fm transceivers did have a wires
function on them, but not many bothered to connect to the old wires
system. The new WiresX system is both an analog and digital network and
easily integrates in to the system fusion repeaters. I wish that the
ham community would concentrate on making all of these digital radios
compatible with each other, but the opposite is happening. Kenwood has
just announced new DMR radios and another new digital system may be
announced at Dayton. If we don't get together soon on a digital
standard, I favor dropping back to analog fm until we do!
