All of the responses I received to my question regarding other celiacs who
have multiple drug allergies & sensitivities were very interesting. Thanks
to all who responded.
26 respondents have many similar and varied drug allergies, including
allergic reactions to antibiotics, NSAIDS, & other drugs such as neurontin,
amitryptiline, OTC drugs, etc.
Several of these 26 said they do better with a much smaller dose than
recommended, (such as a child dosage).
1 of these 26 also has sjogrens and has a friend with sjogrens and feels
that sjogrens might be more responsible for the allergies & sensitivities.
(I forgot to mention that I also have sjogrens along with all my other
ills)
1 person responded that this is the reason we need to keep pressure on the
drug manufacturers and the FDA.
1 person recommended ..... 1) contact Steve Plogstead, the gluten free
pharmacist @ * glutenfreedrugs.com* as many of the reactions could be
reactions to fillers or colorings 2) possibly try an ayurvedic holistic
MD 3) maybe it's not caused by celiac, since I have other health issues.
1 celiac person has no difficulty
1 person has no allergic reactions & takes no medications, only using
natural methods such as yoga, tai chi, massages & relaxation techniques
Many of the responders were also ridiculed or discredited by their Doctors
who don't understand, or were told they were "weird". Go figure.
I was surprised there were *so* many celiacs who all have a similar problem
- it makes me wonder--- is it celiac, or is it a problem caused by the
pharmaceutical companies, or have we eaten too much roundup, fertilizers,
pesticides & other toxins that have destroyed our immune system? - or is
there some other cause?
