We ate at the subject restaurant Monday night and were pleasantly surprised by the service, food and the entire staff's knowledge of celiac requirements. First they have a different gluten free menu. Instead of listing items that are gluten free, Sonny's lists items on their menu that contain gluten. The menu is available online or at the restaurant. Chris was the manager and when I questioned about french fries and were they cooked in the same oil as everything else he came and talked to us about all the precautions taken and how well they all understood gluten free requirement. He said that daily they keep containers full of fresh, clean oil for cooking french fries for celiac customers and that it would take a while to heat the oil.........I have to say they were the best restaurant french fries that I have had in a long while. They also kept the oil hot in case I wanted more fries. The restaurant is extremely clean, service is outstanding and.....oh yeah the food is very good too.
Kudos to Chris and the entire staff at Sonny's BBQ.
