Kitsap/Olympic Peninsula Gluten Intolerance Group

Hi Members,

I'm baaack! I know it has been a while but wanted to let you know that we
are home and planning a great meeting for March 13th at 12:00 noon in
Sequim, WA at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 100 South Blake Ave. We have
held meetings before at this beautiful facility but if you need
directions, here goes. Going East on 101 take the Washington St. exit and drive
straight until you see Blake Sand and Gravel and turn right there (between the
gravel place and the Kitsap Bank) and drive to the church on the right.

This will be a gluten free Soup and Bread luncheon with desserts and
raffles and lots of information to pass on. We are asking a donation of $2.50 to
cover our expenses.
Please bring friends and family to let them know how easy it is to have
such a great lunch, gluten free.

If you would like to car pool from Bremerton, Port Townsend, Port Angeles
or Sequim, let me know and I can arrange it.

We would love for you to put this date and time on your calendar so that we
can have a really great turnout.

Following is some information that has come to me, of which I thought you
should take notice. Most importantly is the 2010 GIG National Education
Conference which will be held in Minneapolis this June 4th, 5th and 6th. If you
have been kicking yourself for not attending last year in Seattle, this is
your big chance to attend the finest GF conference in the US. (I think!)
It is a wonderful time, weather wise in Minneapolis so plan your family
vacation around it. See you there!

Also of importance is the GIG Chef to Plate Campaign which is during May,
National Celiac Awareness Month around the US, and is a huge step in making
restaurants and their customers aware of our ever growing need for reliable
and interested places to dine. GIG has made such great strides in this
area and I was definitely aware of it on our cross county trip. I never had
difficulty getting a gf meal at any restaurant I went to. People are so much
more aware of the diet and are interested in making it right for you.

Please keep in touch and if you would like to be a contact person in your
area for diet questions, please let me know as I would like to broaden my
volunteer list.

Please take care and I?ll see you at the luncheon.
