First, thank you to all that shared their information with me.

Second, I want to tell you what I had been experiencing and why I asked for all your help.

I have been on thyroid meds for over 20 years with no problem.
Recently my husband retired from a local hospital where we had all our prescriptions filled, so we moved our prescriptions to a drug store closer to home. I did all kinds of research on GF thyroid meds. I switched from Levoxyl to a generic levothyroxine. Then some time later I developed a sensitivity to soy, so stopped all soy in my diet. In doing my research on my current thyroid (TSH) problems I talked to a pharmaceutical company and found out that soy inhibits the absorption of thyroid medication. So I believe my problem is two-fold. One I switched to a generic, which generics have been known to have problems being consistent. And the other is my eliminating all soy from my diet, so now my meds absorption is not affected any longer.

There is a general consensus that brand name thyroid is better.
It seems to be evenly split between Levoxyl and Synthroid.
A few are using Armour, natural thyroid.
Most people believe or have experience that in taking the generics there is a problem with hormone levels remaining consistent.

Here are the websites some people have used and suggested looking into.
 http://stopthethyroidmadness.com and http://thyroidbook.com
www.thyroidbook.com
http://thyroid.about.com/cs/hypothyroidism/a/undertreated.htm
www.realthyroidhelp.com

Thanks again for everyone's input.
